Neidis Web Services – Hosting Fair Use Policy

Version 1.0, effective November 2026. This policy explains how our shared hosting platform may be used so that every customer gets fast, stable and secure service. It forms part of your hosting agreement with Neidis Web Services (“Neidis”, “we”, “us”). By using the service, you (“the Customer”) agree to it.

1. Our plans

A “website” means one site on one primary domain (or subdomain) running WordPress, PHP, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, or a supported framework. A “web application” means a Node.js or server-side application (for example Next.js, Nuxt, NestJS or Express) that runs continuously on our servers. A web application counts as one of your sites but uses more resources, so the stricter limits in section 3 apply to it.

2. What “unlimited” means

Bandwidth is described as unlimited, but it is provided on a fair-use basis. It is meant for normal website and web application traffic, not for hosting large downloads, video or file-sharing services. If your usage affects other customers or the platform, we may act under section 8.

3. Resource guidelines

The platform’s CPU, memory, storage and file capacity are shared between all customers. These guidelines describe normal use for each plan. They are not a guarantee of capacity, and we may update them with 30 days’ notice.

The email limit applies to unauthenticated PHP mail and is not intended for newsletters or bulk campaigns. If your site regularly goes beyond these guidelines, we will contact you and offer a plan that fits your needs (see section 8).

4. Acceptable use

You may use the service to host your own business, personal, organisation or client websites and applications, including built-in e-commerce, within the limits of your plan. You may not use the service for:

• Illegal content or any activity that breaks the laws of Mauritius.
• Phishing, scams, malware, spam, bulk or unsolicited email, or fake websites.
• Cryptocurrency mining or any heavy background computing that is not part of your website.
• Proxies, VPNs, anonymisers or tools that route other people’s traffic.
• Torrents, file-sharing or media-streaming services, or storing backups and files that your website does not use.
• Game servers or other long-running programs that are not web applications.
• Content that infringes copyright, abuses or exploits others, or promotes hatred or violence.
• Attempting to access other customers’ accounts, files or data, or to disrupt the platform.

5. Web applications

• Web applications must use a supported Node.js version (18.x, 20.x, 22.x or 24.x), a supported framework, and npm, yarn or pnpm.
• Applications must not run unlimited background jobs, queues or schedulers that use resources continuously. Light scheduled tasks are allowed.
• Applications that cause crashes, memory leaks or high CPU use may be restarted or stopped without notice to protect other customers.
• You are responsible for the security, updates and code quality of your application.

6. Security and maintenance

• Keep WordPress, themes, plugins and application dependencies up to date, and use strong passwords.
• Remove nulled, pirated or unmaintained plugins and themes.
• If your site is hacked or infected, we may isolate or suspend it immediately to protect other customers. We may help clean it up for an additional fee.

7. Backups

We run automatic backups for disaster recovery. They are a safety net, not a guarantee. You are responsible for keeping your own copy of important content, databases and files. Restoring a backup on request may be chargeable.

8. Enforcement

If your use goes beyond this policy, we will normally: (1) contact you by email and explain the issue; (2) give you 48 hours, or less if urgent, to fix the problem or move to a suitable plan; (3) if the issue continues, limit resources, pause the affected website or application, or suspend the account; and (4) terminate the account for serious or repeated breaches. Where a site is causing immediate harm to the platform or other customers, or is clearly illegal, we may suspend it straight away without prior notice. Fees already paid are not refundable if the account is suspended or terminated for breaching this policy.

9. Custom plans

If you need more websites, traffic, resources or a dedicated setup, contact us for a custom plan. Custom plans are agreed in writing and replace the limits in sections 1 and 3 for the services they cover.

10. AI chatbot assistant

The AI chatbot included with the service helps you with questions and building your site. It can make mistakes, so please check important information before you rely on it. It is not a substitute for support from Neidis staff, and it must not be used to generate content that breaks section 4.

11. Service availability

We work to keep the platform running reliably, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service. We may carry out maintenance, with notice where possible. Neidis is not liable for loss of income, data or business arising from downtime, to the extent permitted by law.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you by email or through your account at least 30 days before material changes take effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the updated policy.
